Probleme mit WMV-Files

Ich habe seit geraumer Zeit Probleme, WMV-Files abzuspielen. Es erscheint jeweils der Media-Player 10 mit der Fehlermeldung "Player cannot play the file, because a network error occured. The server might not be avaible. Verify that yor are connected to the network ans that your proxies settings are correct".
Ich habe bereits andere Player und Browser mit dem gleichen Ergebnis ausprobiert. Kann mir vielleicht jemand einen Tipp (in einem Deutsch für einen ziemlichen [ZENS] geben? Vielen Dank!!!
