Installation geht nicht

Question

Hallo.
Ich möchte gern eine Software installieren(Serif PagePlus X2).Leider kommt nach dem Win Installer nur die Anzeige,dass ein Benötigter Neustart notwendig sei um das Programm zu installieren.Nachdem ich nun den mittlerweile den 10Ten Neustart gemacht habe,kommt immer noch die Meldung.Im Ereignisprotikoll steht nur der Fehler 10005 und MsiInstaller.Ich weiß mir keinen Rat mehr...

Hallo Grubby,

was dir der Admin mit dem *Threadedit* sagen will, deine nachgeschobene Info, dass es sich um Vista 32-bit handelt, gehört nicht in eine neue 'Frage', sondern als 'Antwort' hierher.

Für Vista 32-bit benötigst du eigentlich Serif PagePlus X3, eventuell kannst du X2 aber im Kompatibilitätsmodus installieren. Rechtsklick auf die Setup-Datei, die Eigenschaften aufrufen, im Reiter Kompatibilität den Haken für Windows XP(SP2)setzen und das Setup starten.

Summary
When attempting to install my Serif software, I'm prompted with the message "A system reboot request or pending file rename operation has been detected.”.

Answer

If you have rebooted your machine and you are still being prompted with the message "A system reboot request or pending file rename operation has been detected.” please follow the below instructions:

1. Go to the 'File Attachments' section and download the FRFix.zip to your desktop.*

2. Extract the contents of the FRFix.zip file onto your desktop.

3. Run the FRFix.exe file and you will be prompted with a program window.

4. With the FRFix.exe running ( do not close ), you will need to insert the installation CD/DVD for your Serif program.

5. You will find that you can install the program without getting the "A system reboot request or pending file rename operation has been detected.” message.

6. Once the program is installed correctly, you will be able to close the FRFix.exe program by clicking the 'Close' button.
Please Note: No files or registry keys have been deleted from your computer.
