Windows XP erkennt die Netzwerkkarte nicht automatisch

Ich habe vor ein paar tage eine AVM Fritz DSL netzwerkkarte gekauft. Die sollte an einen PCI Steckplatz angeschlossen. Ich habe nach anweisung die netzwerkkarte eingebaut. Der Computer sollte die netzwerkkarte (nach handbuch) automatisch erkennen. Macht er aber nicht. Was kann das problem sein???????????????
