Externe Festplatte wird nach formatieren nicht mehr erkannt...

Hallo,
ich habe meine Externe Festplatte (USB 2.0, 279 GB) formatiert.
Ich habe nichts mehr drauf installiert, da ich gedacht habe das ist fertig.
Jetzt hab ich sie wieder angemacht und reingesteckt und sie wird nicht mehr erkannt,
Sie läuft sonst noch ganz normal und geht normal an...
OS: Windows XP Pro SP 2...
