Hey Leute,

ich habe einen aktuelles System unter Server 2003 Enterprise Edition am laufen.

Mein Ziel ist es ca. 10 Rechner (Betriebssysteme sind Server 2003 sowie XP Prof) mit Updates per WSUS zu "füttern". Die Server sind jedoch in keiner Dömäne, aber im gleichen Subnetz => 192.168.0.x
Pings und RDP-Verbindungen gehen selbstverständlich!

Ich habe WSUS bereits installiert und auch konfiguriert, das klappt auch noch alles.

Unter www.gruppenrichtlinien.de/index.html?/howto/wsus_server.htm habe ich die Connect2WSUS.exe runtergeladen um nun die Updates an einem der 10 Rechner zu ziehen, jedoch funktionierts nicht.
Am Server im WSUS-Manager (kp wie man dieses Ding nennt) taucht unter "Computer" leider kein neuer Rechner auf! :-(

Sorry das ich nicht so ausführlich geschrieben habe, aber ich wüsste nicht was ich sonst noch schreiben sollte.

Aber habt ihr irgend ne Idee worans liegen könnte?

Mal in die "WindowsUpdate.log" auf dem Client geschaut? Dort nach Fehlereinträgen, z.B. nach Zeilen mit "error" suchen.

Sind auf dem Client die nötigen Dienste aktiviert (Automatische Updates, Intelligenter Hintergrundübertragungsdienst)? Lassen sich diese starten?

Erreicht der Client Port 80 auf dem WSUS?

Achja, die Dienste laufen beide und starten auch automatisch!

Auf Port 80 ist vom Client aus der Server erreichbar (telnet 192.168.0.5 80 )!

Noch irgendjemand ne Idee?

Kannst mal versuchen, auf dem Client im Browser direkt die Adresse
http://tt-h1zppmi3u2ti/selfupdate/wuident.cab

aufzurufen. Dann sollte der Browser die Datei "wuident.cab" herunterladen.
Falls dies nicht erfolgt, dann hat der Client wohl Probleme beim Zugriff auf die entsprechenden Webfreigabe auf dem WSUS.

Hmm, könnte auch mit WinHTTP-Proxy-Einstellungen zusammenhängen (das ist ähnlich zu den Proxy-Settings im Browser für den User). Diese nutzt das WindowsUpdate zum Zugriff auf den WSUS-Server.

Kannst mal mit dem Befehl
proxycfg

in der Eingabeaufforderung auf dem Client die WinHTTP-Proxy-Einstellungen prüfen/einstellen.

Mittels "proxycfg -d" stellt man Direktzugriff ein (also kein Proxy).
Mittels "proxycfg -u" kopiert man die Proxyeinstellungen des aktuellen Users (muß allerdings ein Admin sein, da das in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE geschrieben wird).

bekomme ich aber ne Antwort!


Einen Proxy brauche ich nur dann, wenn ich ins Internet will, da die Rechner aber im gleichen Netz liegen dürfte ich beim Client doch keinen Proxy brauchen, oder? Beim Server habe ich natürlich einen Proxy eingetragen!

Also an den Proxy-Einstellungen dürfte es ja nicht liegen.

Warum der Webserver vom Client aus net erreichbar ist versteh ich jetzt eig. net^^

Hmmmmm tt-h1zppmi3u2ti ist der Rechner-Name des Servers. Direkt auf dem Server ist die Seite auch zu erreichen!

Habs aber auch schon mit der IP, also http://192.168.0.5 probiert, ist leider auch nicht erreichbar :-(

Naja ihr habt mich aufjedenfall schonmal soweit gebracht, das ich weiß das es am IIS liegt... Hmm morgen mal schaun!

Hat jemand ne Ahnung wo das Logfile vom IIS liegt?

Hier noch ein Dokument von MS bezüglich solcher/ähnlicher Probleme:

Der SelfUpdate-Dienst von Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) sendet keine automatischen Updates

Da steht vieles bezüglich der IIS-Konfiguration, der verschiedenen virtuellen Verzeichnisse (Webseiten) auf dem WSUS, nötigen Zugriffsberechtigungen (integrierte Windows-Authentifizierung, anonymer Zugriff) usw.

Vielleicht bringt dich das weiter.
