Lösung! Ein Tipp von mir für Leute die das selbe Problem haben
Betrift Windows 7 & Valve Steam - Nach einem MS-Update -> alte Spiele Klassiker starten schon, aber es erscheint kein Bild am Monitor und im Taskmanager wird der CPU bis zu 50% voll ausgelastet.
Abhilfe gibt es hier:
Since Microsoft added the Game Explorer system to Windows 7 it has been a problem for users with limited access to internet.
Most affected users will have already disabled GameUX.dll and its registry options, but now Microsoft have killed the domain it used to talk to, the issue will show itself for people with a permanent connection.
Symptoms you will see if it affects you:
* Old games fail to open, but can be seen in the task manager.
* A copy of Rundll32.exe is eating 50% or more CPU.
* DNS Cache is busy and using lots of CPU.
* Running a second copy of the game works
Der Fehler kann wie folgt behoben werden..
Schritt 1
regsvr32 -u c:\windows\system32\gameux.dll
regsvr32 -u c:\windows\SysWOW64\gameux.dll
Schritt 2
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\gameux.dll
regsvr32 c:\windows\SysWOW64\gameux.dll
Schritt 3
Folgenden Registry-String suchen: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\GameUX\ServiceLocation
Im rechten Fenster bei Games -> ersetzen mit -> 127.0.0.1
Danach sind alle Probleme gelöst bzw. alle Games ob Neu oder Oldies können nun uneingeschränkt wieder gespielt werden.
