Welcher RAM für dieses Board?

Guten Abend,
ich habe mir jetzt ein neues Board geleistet, und zwar das
ASROCK 939SLI32-ESATA2 mit ULI M1697 und M1695.
Also der Rechner ist nun soweit fertig, nur mit dem Problem, das der RAM, den ich noch vom alten Rechner besitze, nicht auf diesem Board funktioniert, genauer gesagt, der Monitor zeigt kein Bild. Es handelt sich hierbei um ELIXIR-DDR-RAM, 2 x 512 MB, PC 400.
Ich habe jetzt leihweise einen 512 MB-Riegel von MDT, PC333, der läuft einwandfrei.
Wer kann mir sagen, welchen aktuellen Speicher ich guten Gewissens kaufen kann? MDT kriege ich z. Zt. nicht. Fragt sich ja auch, ob die aktuellen MDT-Riegel funktionieren.

ist doch klar, das ich das gelesen habe! Aber das ist nur das allg. BlaBla, hilft nicht weiter.
Genau solche Chips sind ja die ELIXIR-Riegel, nur damit fährt der Rechner eben nicht hoch!
Wie ich jetzt beim Googeln gelesen habe, gibt es wohl
immer wieder Probleme mit einzelnen Board-RAM-Kombinationen. Nur weiß ich halt nicht, mit welchem RAM ich bei meinem Boardauf jeden Fall richtig liege.

hast Du im BIOS die Speichertaktung von 166 MHz auf 200 MHz umgestellt ?

Ich habe sogar alle möglichen Speichertakte ausprobiert, einschließlich AUTO.
Nix läuft.
Ich glaube, das Problem ist der ULI-Chipsatz. Die meisten anderen Boards haben ALI, VIA oder NVIDIA-Chipsätze.

Kann ´n bischen dauern bis ich mich wieder melde, durchforste gerade einige Seiten.
Habe gelesen, dass Dein Board nicht mit jedem Ram zusammenarbeiten will - sehr wählerisch, das Ding :-))
