archos 504 upload schwierig

ich möchte meinen archos 504 (multimediagerät 160 gb) upgraden, aber die anweisung auf google gelingt mir nicht.das schreiben die dann:
If you have an Archos WiFi device connected to the Internet, you can update your device directly by going to menu>Firmware & Plug-ins>Online Firmware Update. Press OK and then follow the on-screen instructions.
d.h. ich hatte mein archos per usb an pc angeschlossen, fand dort weder menü etc.
was nun?(ich warte auf n update, denn manche funktionen hoffe ich sind verbessert worden.da ist manches nicht so gut)
