Ich habe eine kleine Anleitung zwecks Import von Exel-Dateien in die Datenbank. Kann mir das einer auf deutsch erklären ?
Englische Anleitung:
3. Run SQL query on your database administration tool:
ALTER TABLE `categories` ADD `categories_root` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL;
This will add “categories_root” field in table “categories”.
Das ist alles (von dem, was ich nicht verstehe).

diese Anleitung hilft nicht viel. das ist lediglich ein Beispiel wie bei einer Tabelle ein Feld hinzugefügt wird.

Hallo Tom,
Es geht um das Project OsCommerce. Es geht um ein "Addon", um Exel-Datein in die Datenbank aufzunehmen. Die ganze beschreibung sieht so aus:
Installation Instructions
1. There are three files excel.php, Form.xls, and this instruction manual.
2. Copy file excel.php into catalog/admin/
3. Run SQL query on your database administration tool:
ALTER TABLE `categories` ADD `categories_root` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL;
This will add “categories_root” field in table “categories”.
4. For adding link to the Admin, edit file catalog/admin/includes/boxes/catalog.php by adding this line:
'<a href="' . tep_href_link('excel.php', '', 'NONSSL') . '" class="menuBoxContentLink">Excel import!</a><br>'.
After:
'<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES, '', 'NONSSL') . '" class="menuBoxContentLink">' . BOX_CATALOG_CATEGORIES_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES . '</a><br>' .
5. That’s all!
Go to Admin -> Catalog -> Excel Import!
6. To find out what the code and root code of your category is check in:
View category code and root code
Now, the category code is the subcategory or sub-subcategory of your products, and root code is the code of your main category. You’ll see where to put this in your Form.xls that came with the module.
8. You can change Ukrainian to any other language in excel.php, this is just what I use in my admin.
Mit dem Einrichen der PHP-Seiten habe ich ja kein Problem, aber wie gesagt, Schritt 3 verstehe ich nicht. Ich habe noch nie etwas selbst in die Datenbank geschrieben. :-(

Achso... das heißt du hast bereits dieses OsCommerce installiert und damit der Excel Import funktioniert muss eine Änderung an der Tabelle 'categories' durchgeführt werden.
Nun ja du brauchst irgendein SQL Tool um diese Änderung zu machen, zB mit Access und einem ODBC Eintrag falls die Datenbank bei dir im Netzwerk liegt, falls auf einem Webserver dann zB mit mySQL

Also heißt es in Kurzform für mich, alles "normal" eingeben. Denn ich habe kein Wort verstanden :-( Datenbanken sind (noch) nicht mein Ding.
